I am a olio food waste hero and I was getting ready for a collection to distribute food, I phoned the store to make sure they were ready and the lady said “I haven’t got round to doing it tonight so there will be no collection” , this was hours before the store shut so she had plenty of time, she just couldn’t be asked. The point of olio is to reduce food waste and help people in need and she just blatantly couldn’t be asked.

I was at this site yesterday.I needed to send a kg parcel out of England and the old woman in the post office doesn't know anything about it.After waiting more than minutes in the queue and seeing the suffering face and the continuous complaints of the old woman, she brings a girl to help her, with tattooed arms and directly the girl with tattooed arms looks at me and says: "I've got to go to the post office."Sorry this office is very small and we cannot send parcels, only letters, you will have to go to a bigger office" (extremely rude). It is really unbelievable how little desire to work these workers have, they are all very incompetent, lazy, ill-mannered and speak to you with an incredible arrogance.Without a doubt I will never go back to this place in my life. If they don't want to work, they should leave and leave the job open for other people.Very disappointed with everything in general about Popley's OneStop.

I've always found the staff helpful and friendly, despite what some customers may have reviewed here. Kudos to them for coping the best they can with Covid restrictions in these difficult times.I would much rather visit One Stop on Shakespeare Road than the nearest local Tesco. My only complaint is that the Post Office is not open all the hours that the actual shop is. Hence why I posted the opening times on Google Maps, because only One Stop hours are advertised officially, which is not helpful.I understand that they only run 'office hours' in line with Royal Mail. But it would be handy if they were open longer, rather than turning up on a Saturday afternoon and not being able to drop off parcels.Though some staff do go above and beyond, even in that respect.
